Kristi has been a Neuromuscular Therapist for over 20 years. She has worked in the Wilmington area for over 10 years. Although Kristi has training and knowledge in several modalities her specialty is Neuromuscular Therapy. The technique is a form of Deep Tissue Massage, it is distinguished form other types of massage in that a quasi-static pressure is applied to the skin with the aim of stimulating specific areas of skeletal muscle often these areas of muscle are myofascial trigger points. This treatment focuses on imbalances in the body that may have accured from repetitive movement during work, sports and daily life. She treats the muscles from the attachments with deep pressure creating a full release. Kristi also uses intuitive touch energy in her practice. She believes creating balance in the body helps prevent serious injuries and assists in healthier muscles for mind, body, and spirit.
When Kristi isn’t working she enjoys her time with her children and sisters.
